E-Court Mission Mode Project
The E-Courts Project was conceptualised on the basis of “National Policy and Action Plan for Implementation of Information and Communication Technology (ICT) in the Indian Judiciary – 2005” submitted by the e-Committee of the Hon’ble Supreme Court of India.
The e-Courts National portal (ecourts.gov.in) was launched by Hon’ble the Chief Justice of India on 7th August 2013. This provides Case Status, daily Cause-list, Cases Filed, and Cases Registered through the Case Information System (CIS) Software.
The e-Courts National portal also provides training material for judicial officers and staff, links to District Court websites and statistical reports that can be used as a judicial management information system. This portal is expected to play a key role in bringing about judicial reforms.
The main objectives of the e-Court Project are as follows:
To provide efficient & time-bound citizen-centric service delivery.
To develop, install & implement decision support systems in courts.
To automate the processes to provide transparency of Information access to its stakeholders.
To enhance judicial productivity both qualitatively & quantitatively, to make the justice delivery system affordable, accessible, cost effective & transparent.
Constitution of District Court Computer Committee :
The District Court Computer Committee has been constituted and entrusted to nurture and monitor the implementation of the eCourt Project and ICT infrastructure at District & Subdivisional Courts of Khagaria Judgeship. The constitution of the Committee is as follows:

Nomination of Nodal Officers:
Nodal Officers are nominated at District Court as well as the Sub Divisional Courts namely Gogri of Khagaria Judgeship for monitoring the progress on implementation of eCourt Project and to convey the raised issues to the DCCC. The nominated Nodal Officers are as follows:

Technical Manpower:
To assist the District Court Computer Committee as well as Nodal Officer, the System Officer and System Assistants have been deputed at District Court as well as Sub Divisional Courts by Hon’ble the Patna High Court. The Technical Manpower are IT professionals who are handling the eCourt project at root level. They monitor the ground level implementation of the policies of eCourt Project at District Court and Sub Divisional Court. The following Manpower are working at Khagaria Judgeship:

At present, we are in Phase -II of the e-Courts Mission Mode Project and the following milestones have been achieved :
The District Court at Khagaria and Sub-divisional Court at Gogri have been fully computerised and working on a CIS system with a complete infrastructural setup.
Laptops and printers have been provided to all Judicial Officers with training on their usage of the Ubuntu (Linux) Operating System.
All cases are registered on CIS and regularly updated on NJDG.
KIOSK machine is installed at District Court at Khagaria to facilitate the Advocates and public for information of the cases.
NSTEP is implemented and functional in the District & Sub Division Court of Khagaria Judgeship.
e-Sewa Kendra has been fully functional in the District Court.
Online Filing service is enabled for the Ld. Advoactes registered at CIS of District Court
